Applications for our 2026 charity places are open now!
We’re asking all applicants to also enter the public ballot (opening right after the 2025 race) to give as many people as possible the chance to run with us.

Good to know:
Even if your ballot entry isn’t successful, we’ll still consider you for one of our charity places — so don’t miss out! Applications will remain open until after the ballot results are announced in June/July 2025.

The London Marathon first took place in 1981 and has become one of the most popular marathons in the world. The route takes in many of London's best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf. The TCS London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – participants have raised more than £1 billion for good causes.
